NEW to the OTU is our “Expert Commentaries” section on the “Home Page“. This page contains articles from local Cities, Elected Officials and Experts in the transportation field. Ron Wyden makes an appearance as does The City of Tualatin, Oregon City, Washington County and Retired ODOT Director Cam Gilmour.
Article 1 - Cam Gilmour is a retired ODOT deputy director of finance and administration, Clackamas County's director of transportation and development and the state of Washington's transportation department's chief operating officer. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to ODOT’s maneuvers.
Article 2 - Many have asked, over the years, where ODOT spends its money. In this article we see that checks and balances, for a few years, have not been very tidy.
Article 3 - The Oregon Transportation Commission met on Thursday this last week. This link will take you to the YouTube recording. Though long, it is worth listening to when you have the chance. Please note that the I-205, Rose Quarter and I-5 Bridge projects are all mentioned. The meeting weaves around all three projects throughout the meeting.
