In Short

This Week in Oregon Tolling Updates

Article 1 - This is the Final Portland Metro Area Value Pricing Feasibility Analysis… It is about 140 pages long and will take a few moments to download. The important piece about this study is that it does not study the plan that is currently being implemented on I-205. We will look at the issues of such in this weeks podcast episode.

Article 2 - Remember, we don’t pick the journalist, rather we bring you what people are saying about the tolling topic. Here The Reason Foundation states their case for toll roads. Do note, the toll lanes they speak of are optional rather than all lanes tolled 24/7.

Article 3 - As it is part of the “Chain of Tolling”, the I-5 bridge, joining Oregon and Washington, gets another uptick in costs. We share this to point out the burden that will be upon the motorists and the tax payers soon. This tolled bridge will add to the tolls incurred along the I-5 drive thru Portland.
