This Week in Oregon Tolling Updates…
Article 1 - As Oregon Hwy Tolling starts to roll-out on I-205, many are concerned that Hwy 217 and Hwy 26, in Washington County, will not be far behind. Proponents say that the tolling revenue is needed for Hwy repair and maintenance, citing that gas taxes are falling behind as EV’s become more prevalent in the state.
Article 2 - The City Observatory chimes in with an in depth view of the principals and realities of tolling. This evaluation challenges ODOT’s claims on many levels. Detailed, but it is worth the time to read.
Article 3 - This 2 hour video is the 2nd meeting of the Regional Toll Advisory Committee. We offer this video, of the newly formed Regional Toll Advisory Committee, un-cut and uncensored, so you can form your own opinion of the work being done by our leaders to advise ODOT on their plan
Please note that we would post the first meeting but the audio was inaudible.
