In Short

Article 1 - Conduent is a company that provides cashless toll systems for multiple states. And, according to Senators Bill Nelson (2001-18) D-Florida and Gary Peters, (Current) D-Michigan, “Conduent’s pattern of mismanaging cashless toll systems is deeply troubling and warrants further scrutiny,”

So why is ODOT working with Conduent? Not sure, but this 2021 White paper for automatic passenger counting (APC) and automatic fare collection is in ODOT’s files. Note Conduent listed as a vendor on page 40.

Article 2 - This is the article, from 2018, tells of the Federal Probe requested by the aforementioned Senators above.

Article 3 - Connecticut voters got rid of tolling in 2018. But with the demise of tolling comes the reality that road maintenance must still be funded. In this perspective, from 2019, we see the options this state considered.

Article 4 - Oregon City officials continue to ask ODOT about diversion and how ODOT will mitigate adverse effects in Oregon City.
